AQUARIUS softeners take advantage of the exchange of calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) ions with sodium (Na) ions by flowing the water to be

soften through a bed of strong cationic resin.

In fact, the resin is rich in sodium ions; the hard water is filtered out and the ions responsible for scale, calcium and magnesium,

are retained on the surface of the resin and replaced by sodium ions, whose salts do not cause deposits.

To ensure treatment efficiency, it is sufficient to periodically regenerate the filter bed using a solution

saturated with NaCl (brine). This is done automatically by the multifunctional control head, controlled by a timer/command

electronic volumetric controller.
