Working temperature from -34C up to +110C. Recommended for conveying water, dilute acids, alkaline solutions, dolio-free air and various chemical applications (see Gasket Table for details). NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN PETROLEUM OR HYDROCARBON APPLICATIONS.
DESCRIPTION
Flexible Joint 8000 specifically designed to provide a self-blocking joint and to allow the installation of piping subjected to expansion, contraction and flexibility. The shape of the Flexible Joint in combination with the C-shaped gasket, allows a significant reduction in vibration and noise transmission, as well as reduces stress due to seismic event stress. The quick and easy installation of the housings, which enclose the gasket, ensures a perfect seal against internal pressure in the pipes. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
SHELL: Spheroidal cast iron conforming to ASTM A-536, Grade 65-45-12
HEXAGONAL BOLTS: Hot-treated carbon steel, electrolytically galvanized, oval collar, self-locking head, with proprietmechanical according to ISO 898-1 Class 8.8. Screws and hex nuts are electrolytically galvanized, with subsequent yellow chromate coating.
